two farmhouses on the site were converted into the Almenrausch and Edelweiß guesthouses, leaving the entire 300-year-old foundation walls intact and incorporating them into the new building
1890 - 1892as Pension Almenrausch and Edelweiß under the management of the Bader family
( Bader Dynasty Garmisch-Partenkirchen)
Purchase of the house by Max Härtl Senior and continuation as a guesthouse (rooms with full board)
1932of the house of Hans Härtl.
Between 1972 and 1989, annual renovations with bathroom installations
of Kreuzstrasse by the market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Construction of new car parks, which we acquired from the municipality
of the exterior façade with refreshing of the Dr Pickel fresco by Mr Sommer from Burgrain
2008Complete remodelling of the hotel reception and construction of a new reception office.
The lighting system was completely converted to LED
Complete renovation of our breakfast room. Including installation of new corner benches and ceiling design with LED lighting
2010of 3 rooms and new construction of 2 bathrooms with separation of room parts for more spacious bathrooms
2011of our outbuilding in the garden with two new hotel flats, with a marvellous view of the Alpspitz massif. The room height of the flats is impressive, around 4.10 metres at the highest point
2012final touches to our new house.
In April/May, the garden around the building site is redesigned. New furnishings in some rooms in June
The room doors on the 2nd floor were renewed in March. The old double doors have had their day. WLAN reception has improved enormously thanks to the retrofitting of new cables throughout the hotel.
Two single rooms on the 3rd floor were converted into a new double room in the Zugspitze category.
In November, it was the turn of the doors on the 1st floor.
Our newly installed lift takes you comfortably to every floor of our 3-storey main building.
